About 1 Act of Kindness

1 Act of Kindness is a mission put on Phil’s heart by God, as seen in his testimony.

Our mission is to build a new home for the Kostenbauder family, at no charge to them, that provides them gives them the space and accessibility they need for their unique living situation.

Why The Kostenbauders?

Over the years the Kostenbauders have been active members of their local community, organizations, school, and church. Their activities have included serving on the church board; hosting church youth events for hayrides, bonfires, and games; teaching Sunday school; helping with the high school wrestling program; working with special-needs adults. The Kostenbauders have invested in helping others.

While at their farm for youth events, the founder of 1AOK Phil Carpenter had the privilege to get to know the family and also see their home. Years later the Lord spoke to Phil that He wanted him to do something special for the Kostenbauders, but what that was he didn’t know. It wasn’t until months later that the Lord laid on Phil’s heart to build them a new home. After months of struggling with the how, the when, and if he could even accomplish this, Phil finally decided to move forward with the project, fully trusting in the Lord to work out all the details both logistically and financially.
